A single runbook dashboard allows more visibility of runbook status, providing an option for regular and automated dashboard updates to relevant stakeholders. In this article, we'll cover how to share a single runbook dashboard.
Share a single runbook dashboard
Navigate to the runbook of your choosing. Next, follow the steps below:
Click the Dashboards menu option underneath the runbook name.
Click Dashboards > Share icon located in the upper right-hand corner of the dashboard view.
Enter recipients and custom message.
Click + Share Now.
Schedule a dashboard share
To schedule when a dashboard is shared, first follow steps 1-2 outlined in the previous section. Next, in the Share modal, click Show Scheduling Options.
In addition to adding recipients and custom messaging, the scheduling option allows you to:
Title: Enter a title name for the scheduled share. This will be displayed within your list of scheduled shares.
Share dashboard view: Select Entire Dashboard to share the dashboard view without filters applied. Alternatively, select Saved Filters to share the dashboard view with selected saved filters.
Frequency: Select how often the dashboard is shared:
Once: Schedule a one-off email on a specified date and timezone.
Every 15 minutes, 30 Minutes, or Hourly: Schedule an email at these intervals on a specified date and timezone.
Daily: Schedule daily emails on a specified date and timezone.
Weekly: Schedule emails on a weekly basis on a specified date and timezone. You have the ability to select multiple days of the week to schedule the dashboard share.
Manage scheduled shares
To manage any existing scheduled shares you will need to have the Runbook admin role. Follow the steps below:
Navigate to the Dashboard menu option and click the More options icon.
Click Manage scheduled shares.
To make changes, click on a scheduled share to open the edit panel. Make any changes such as adding or removing recipients, changing what is shared and how often, and adding/editing the message. Press Discard to cancel your changes, or Save to apply them.
To create a new scheduled share from the Managed scheduled share menu, click the + icon. To stop future communications, use the Delete option to remove the scheduled share.
