This exercise is designed to support your learning and understanding of Cutover's different task types, how you can utilize them and their behaviors during a live or rehearsal run.
Please follow the below steps and complete the exercise:
Go to your certification workspace, underneath the workspace name, click on the "Templates" section
Find the template called "Task Type Examples" then Click “Create” on the right:
You will see a pop up modal says “Create runbook from template”: we will need to edit some info here:
Change the Title to: “Task Type Examples - Your name”
Select “Choose a destination folder” > Practice
Duplicate Options: Keep everything checked
You will then see 2 options, Select “Choose Start Date” > then put in today’s date + time now.
Leave everything else as it is and click “CREATE”
You should now see your own Runbook!
Next, Start the Runbook in Live Run by clicking the play button located at the top right.
A pop up modal will appear once you click the start:
Set it to the “Live” option
Communication settings = “off“
Check the “Rebaseline the start of the runbook to the current time?”
Click “START RUN”
Click the first task to start your learning! make sure you read the prompt that comes up!
If you want to see the prompt text again, click on the task title and then find the “Description” box on the right hand side.
